ABOUT US

We are a MCC certificated location situated on a old railway line, situated approx 2 1/2 miles from the delightful town of Cockermouth in the Western Lake District. We are well placed for walking and cycling, with a woodland adjacent to our site and the footpath entrance is 50 yards away. Come and hear the birds singing and spot the deer in the woods.  All 5 pitches have 16amp EHU, a drinking water tap, grey waste and overlook a large wildlife pond. It is a birdwatchers paradise with well over 120 different species noted within half a mile of the site. Being just outside the village of Great Broughton the site is a little gem offering a tranquil rural location but within walking distance of 2 pubs and a village shop. There is also a hotel that does great meals and is really good value.  Also a great base for anyone wishing to stretch their legs and take in some of The Northern and Western Wainwright fell walks. We are only 5 miles from the coastal town of Maryport where there are many tourist attractions - Aquarium, museum, indoor karting etc. We are able to welcome both members of the MCC and also non members and look forward to welcoming you to our site with either your Motorhome or Caravan. We have Cumberland Sausage available to order together with any other butchers items - burgers, kebabs, steaks etc. Plus Milk and in season we have fresh strawberries and home grown tomato's.
